Coffee seeds grow inside a coffee cherry fruit. This fruit has to be removed during processing, and the seeds need to be dried before they can be roasted, ground, brewed and served. Naturally processed coffees have the cherry pulp to dried onto the seeds before the pulp is washed off, unlike traditionally processed coffees. This method imparts a wonderful berry taste on the coffee.
This bean from the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia is an excellent example of a clean tasting and fruit forward coffee. It is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Look for notes of blueberry and chocolate.
